Antimai is awesome, not sure about the new EP yet though. Is it the "on tour" thing they keep posting about on socials? I just thought that was them messing about rather than something serious lol. I need to check it out.

Band hasn't been the same since Act V. Don't care about this or the recent EP.

The marketing for this new album is pretty wild. I probably wouldn't call it marketing actually, lore building is more fitting. I mean, just check out their website at the moment, it's really cool what they're doing (plus there's a little surprise if you do a bit of digging, which is awesome)

New album is even less immediate than Antimai, they're really leaning into this bizarre theatrical jazz fusion style. My initial thoughts are a bit mixed. The ingredients are there, it's just not sticking the landing for me yet. Some really great moments, especially in The Glass Desert suite. But a lot of these songs are screaming out for a serious hook.
That being said, The Glass Desert III is wonderful.

I liked Antimai a decent amount but my first impressions of the new one are not super positive. Will need to give it more time but I am not keen on these synth sounds.

Preferring Sunya slightly over this, but I can't wait for them to go back to rock.
