Not always. I think Destruction is in a sub-group of thrash, a sort of simpler form with weird dirty riffs and at the same time very popular. Their niche they found, imo.
I have a special attachement to all the diversity of talent and style in thrash.
In here, i am a Big Fan of the german trilogy (Sodom/Kreator/Destruction).

the production and traditional metal influence on this album is killer. never cared much for modern Kreator but this album hooked me instantly. stoked to see them with mercyful fate.
