I've heard them here and there, Southern Rock Opera is definitely the best of theirs I've heard so far but this is making me want to take a deeper dive

Well I’m glad this one’s working for you! I’d have thought this would be kind of a “fans only” release.

I think it's the lyrics-heavy storytelling nature of the whole thing, gives it a kind of conceptual heft that I really dig. Definitely going to revisit other albums of theirs

Yeah, lyrics are definitely the big seller with these guys, though instrumentally speaking many of their earlier works rock with the best of em. This one certainly has a more subdued and subtle nature that puts even more emphasis on the lyrics, especially in Hood’s songs.

Seeing these boys tonight! They’re playing my local brewery and I can’t remember the last time the place was this packed. Liberal country music seems like something that wouldn’t appeal to a ton of people but apparently I was wrong

I usually really like Hoods spoken word stuff but I the driver kind of grates on me. Maybe it’s the slight distortion on his voice? We will see what the rest holds. In general the band has sounded sort of tired to me on the last two
