This seems like it has more depth and is less 'artificial' sounding than their last one. But yeah haven't done anything breaking new ground since Hope Downs and French Press EP where they peaked.

Really digging this. Has more staying power than their last album. Avg is too low

A few good tracks, a couple decent ones, lots of mediocre ones, and, like, two stinkers. A massive letdown in the shadow of SIDEWAYS TO NEW ITALY, which finished in my Top 10 favorites of 2020. As 'something new', it doesn't do nearly enough to break free from the mold in which they've snuggled themselves; and purely as a jangle-pop album, it improves upon exactly nothing from their previous release.
