yeah, it has more guitar solos than you would usually find, all the instruments are audible. it has one of the guitarists from slipknot in it so you might notice some similarity.

they also ended this on a very good song, the title is a bit different, but it has piano and accoustic guitar in it and i think it is very well done

I liked the song Bother from their last album, that track alone made me believe that there 10x better than slipknot, and don't need a gimmick to survive. Haven't heard anything form this album yet...but I am slightly interested.

Reborn is slightly better, but both songs sound fairly generic, Bother really stood out. But these songs.. meh

My friend got the CD today and unlike me, he loves 30/30-150. I dont like the song at all, or the title for that matter. In my opinion.. it makes me think that if this was the best song they had to offer as an opening single, god help the album. However i havent heard any other songs.
I heard a few from the old CD and liked those.. so...
Gd review btw

This was a terribly disappointing step down from their last album. They eliminated pretty much everything that made their first one so enjoyable. This seems like a crappy nu metal/hard rock album made by a bunch of guys who don't have the first clue about songwriting, try as they might.

I don't hate Slipknot, they are one of my favourite bands I just didn't like the way they experimented with mellow songs. As for the shouting point, I just meant Stone Sour don't shout, no dig at Slipknot there.

i disagree with you SF, because i think that some of the stuff they wrote sounded better than a typical nu-metal band. i would know because i can stand listening to nu-metal more than most. plus, Corey does better with this than he does with Slipknot IMO. i liked it, and i never heard much of the first one except the singles so i couldn't judge from that
