sounds like a mgla record that got left in the sun.
3.0. meh. i don’t hate it. it just does too little with itself for me to want to call it DsO. the different vocalists is a point in the pro column, IMO.

Giving Spica a full track was pretty cool. I found that the vox on the opener were jarring and dramatic, and a really strange choice. Having the Mgla guy here and there was... ok I guess, which isn't good enough for Deathspell IMO. Hearing the Cancelled One was satisfying, but also kinda disappointing - they can't even decide whether or not to axe or keep the guy. Overall a weird neckbeard-adjacent brodown vibe on this one. Suits the record, which is basically just that.

nah. this is some fair post-metal with black metal traces. nothing to really complain about but also no reasons to shit your pants with excitement. solid all the way but there have been at least 4-5 darker, bleaker and better albums of this kind only in the last 2 months.

There’s absolutely nothing ‘post’ about it. It’s extremely bland melodic BM, devoid of any good riffs or engaging instrumentals, with extremely generic vocals on top of it.
