Fascination is good and has some genuinely interesting moments. But it's just a little too ho-hum. It often lacks energy and has almost no abrasive elements. I'm hoping TBM finds more of its energy in future releases. And not to be a whiner, but could we please have albums with more than nine songs on them?

Damn, I had to switch the rating to 4. It is still not my favorite TBM album, but man. There is not one album I listened more to in 2022. Really difficult to explain. Even though the songs are very simple and easy to digest, I don´t get tired of listening to them.

I totally agree. They could at least add some heaviness again, even though that would be the most obvious change and not even new. The last 4 albums were really veeery similar. Still love ´em though.

Hard to rank these guys’ albums because 90% of them all sound identical

Funny enough Violet has always been one of my least favorites. I think the murky atmosphere was kinda sloggy in some places and some pop hooks weren’t as well developed as the two albums that followed. Still a solid 3.5 regardless

Nah TBM always kept it real, educate yourself. Surely quality was really high there from debut till Pins and Needles but they never had a miss. Can't wait for their new album.

I like that the new album starts with a heavy song. That's different. I hope they have more of those elements intertwined in the album. The last album only had one heavy moment. It can really make their sound more dynamic when they bring that in more.
