Great review Dewi. Like the scorps, you seem to just be hitting your peak! xD

Tx Sitar, like the Scorps, my glory days may be far behind me but I still have... "gas in the tank".

yes yes, it seems like you did
But seriously Dewi, as stellar as AM onwards is (I'm the first one to admit, because I have a soft spot for Matthias Jabs), their '70s run is just a completely different beast. I got exposed early to their '70s albums of because of a compilation, and I just *l o v e* what they're doing there.

I used to love Scorpions to death until I listened to "tease me, please me" and ask myself "what kind of glam metal bullshit is this?"

If it's Scorpions, everything is forgiven.

Dewi dude, if you eventually check Uli-era Scorps and like it, don't neglect to check Uli's solo material, and especially Electric Sun - Earthquake and Transcendental Sky Guitar.

I'll eventually come around it yes, my friend. I'll keep Uli's solo stuff in mind too, those album titles sound like mighty records lol

this new Scorpion release give me the energy to start a clockwise discog run, fun memories expected m/

For sure. Their 1974-1979 output is up there with the very best.

Not gonna lie, I think their 70's output (excluding Lovedrive) is a little overrated. Love those albums, but they are kinda put on an unrealistically high pedestal.

More than decent record, good for re-adjusting the discog's trajectory and potentially become a swansong (it's been longer than you think since the last one!)
Pretty cool to have something like Shining of Your Soul at this point
