Nice!!! I'd say Chemical Chords is their only weaker offering. Everything else is excellent or better.

Chem Chords has enough of their catchiest bangers to escape damnation hmm. Not Music and ig Mars Audiac are the only things close to weak links

yeah, Mars Audiac is currently in last place

I just have to hear their post Sound Dust material (LPs anyway) properly

I love Mars, too many bangers.

ChemChords isn't bad of course! It's just my least fave. Not Music is also a lesser Lab, but it has some big highs too.

Nothing they made is bad.

this album is a vibes_only deal maybe you are short a wavelength

will say that this is a lot more satisfying listening backwards from Transient than it is as an opening statement

but if you picked this as an opening statement without hearing Super-Electric beforehand, you have only yourself to blame!

Imagine starting here and calling it underwhelming. Yes, seeking to understand the evolution of the artist by going chrono is nice and often based, but you set expectations to match your explorations

This is enjoyable yet a poor representation of what they're capable of

Ooooh yeah weird place to start. It'll make much more sense in context of their later, much more acclaimed output.

Get a bit of Dots and Loops on the go and rescue this situation from the jaws of disaster.

Starting here and skipping to Dots is a massive cop-out - v much needs to complete this era now

I was flicking about across half of their albums simultaneously for ages when I first got into them.

We’re cheering for you Butkuiss, it’s a wonderful journey, choose your own path! But don’t give up before checking Emperor Tomato Ketchup.
