Genuinely didn’t know they made an album after Gonzo lol

The songs are actually pretty good on this record, but you're right, the production is absolutely off. Sounds super flat like they recorded at their local music studio

I had to look up who produced this wreck.
Turns out they self-recorded it live at a local multi-use space, and then brought James Sáez in to do some final production.
What a damn shame they didn't actually record these songs. I think there's some bangers on here, if they actually took it to a studio.

I’m one of the few people that loved gonzo but I couldn’t even sit through this

I was happy they got back together, but these couple of albums they released since then aren't too inviting.

This band is their own worst enemy. Gonzo had a few fun ideas floating around but the live recording in one take was such a stupid way to kneecap the album. Burn was...a slight improvement but the songs themselves were kinda lifeless. I think this is yet another bounce back in the right direction in the songwriting department and closer to the insane highs of Church of Rock n Roll, but the production is horrendous. It sucks all the life out of it in the worst way.
I don't understand how such a vibrant and jubilant band can settle for this level of awful production. There is sounding better live than on record and then there's sounding like a completely different band. I seriously question their level of hearing for letting this out into the world

The entire appeal of the band was their energy. This just feels so bland and lifeless.
