Lol if anything this is more boring than Marigold, but like not in a bad way? It’s slower and a little more atmospheric I guess. If you’re hoping for a return to almost-mathiness of Cardinal this ain’t it

Cardinal will probs always be their best to me, cause of those nostalgia feels and Size Of The Moon being basically the best song of all time, but this is still damn good

I think they age like a fine wine, every album I like I tiny bit more than the last. I’ve always drifted heavily towards americana and folk the past few years, so I love where their sound has gone

I think they age like a fine wine [2] YES

Feels kinda dumb to review this after 1 week with a promo, cause their albums tend to sink their claws into me after months (sometimes years) of on and off listening, but eh. Will be interesting to see how this ages.

I'm a strange Pinegrove fan, I think, in that Marigold really brought me on board. This one sounds really nice so far.

This was solid on first listen, I do like the direction they went here a lot. The songs didn't really grip me, but that's par for the course, Pinegrove tunes pretty much always grow hard on me.

Marigold is probably my favorite of their albums, but they're very consistent in quality.

Really love this album after a few listens. I'm not sure what it is, but something about this reminds me of Saintseneca in parts, I think from a melancholic aesthetic, not from the instrumentation.

Iodine also gives me a bit of a There Will Be Fireworks vibe which I'm really enjoying.

I like it quite a bit more than marigold. There are multiple songs on this that sound different than anything they’ve done before
