GUARDIAN GUARDIAN

GUARDIAN OF THE BLIND!

Really energetic, and it flows really well. I'm pretty excited to listen to Follow the Blind soon, I've never heard it in full. Actually, Somewhere Far Beyond was one of the first albums I bought knowing what I was doing, but I was never much into power metal until I heard Sonata Arctica ("Full Moon" precisely) later. For unknown reasons I never felt the need to explore Blind Guardian's catalogue save from a few tracks, except for this debut because a couple of friends introduced me to "Majesty". Guess it's time to atone.

On a side note, in these days I've been growing a desire for this on vinyl but damn it seems harder than expected.

There are people who like metal and dislike Blind Guardian's discography which is even worse.

Sabrutin has an ear for good metal though so I'm sure he'll love BG.

I'm not in love with the stuff they did since A Night at the Opera, but it's likely for me to dig hard what they did before, yeah. Got a big soft spot for Imaginations' t/t's chrous too.

Same here. A Night at the Opera is actually my least favorite BG and overall I'm not the biggest fan of their symphonic sound.

"I'm not the biggest fan of their symphonic sound."

Pretty much, a bit too overwhelming. Nevertheless it seems that when they "keep it metal" they know how to write some damn ballsy thrashy power metal.

Easily prefer their 1988-1998 albums but they're still a good band.
