best grimes album since art angels

Album Rating: 4.0
i feel like a lot of this tries to have this vaguely mysterious/somber quality to it while also trying to be catchy and ends up not really nailing either. would rather listen to Roisin Machine for that for the most part. but i like Secrets and Hysterical Us

yeah those two are about half the best trax

Bless this thread for reminding me: this is sput(ar)

Album Rating: 3.5
you guys should def check some of their other stuff or at least some songs like killshot, sky2fall, ghost becayuse their previous stuff is a lot more catchy/straightforward with much better hooks imo and their other eps/compilations are only 15-25min long
im still halfway through this

| |
chaerie is good
|
| |
yea secrets is cool too
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.8
Secrets is good but also its best hook is a less catchy version of something Lexie Liu dropped on her latest so idk about catchiest of the yr
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
this is easily my pop aoty so far. i disagree completely about it having weak hooks, however i get the criticism about mica's voice (which is pretty thin) so i feel the rating is justified

its wierd i found this band in like 2018 before they had 1000 listeners and now theyre working with george clanton.

This is pretty good. Reminds me slightly of Lets Eat Grandma.

Album Rating: 4.0
not as good as the EP but this still slays

Album Rating: 5.0
the vocal effects on follow the leader are so cool
gonna bump this album up probably. this album fuckin rules.

Album Rating: 2.8
no bait, the beginning is the only outright bad track, and if you wanna confuse middle school cheerleader pouting with patrician idol chants, i'm sure you've already made enough shithouse mistakes not to lose sleep over it
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
the beginning is great, the worst song on the album by far is prophecy
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.8
Prophecy is inoffensive and generic fs but not irritating enough to be the worst
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
nothing on the album is irritating, prophecy is the worst because it's so generic and boring compared to the rest of the album
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
Follow the Leader and Dawning of the Season are the best tracks on here. You Lose is pretty dope too.
|
| |
Album Rating: 3.5
Nothing on the album is outright bad, but there are definitely some weaker tracks that the production can't quite disguise.
The Beginning is not one of them.
