good review. can't say i see eye to eye with much of it, but to be honest i wasn't expecting this album to be as well received as it has been. its strangely reassuring to know its not for everyone, and not everyone finds it "fun" (a descriptor i think mischaracterizes the album).

its the ppl who rate this a 4.0 or higher i gotta question cause you must have been so moved by "its a holiday/ its time to celebrate" that this is either the first album you've ever heard in your life, or you have like 3 brain cells
but yeah lyrics aside i dont think turnstile are clever enough to write a chord progression
and/ or melody + vocal harmony re: weezer's take on holiday

lyrics on this album are like...what would happen if i gave a piece of paper to someone who never wrote anything in their life and told them "hey write a song"
which like, hey thats fine but it aint 4.0 material
