I wanna like this more than I do but I feel like this has been done better before by bands like Unearth, Darkest Hour, old All That Remains etc. Regardless tho you can always count on this band for giving you at the very least a somewhat enjoyable core album that isnt filled with lazy ass "djent" style riffs and chugs. I appreciate that.

I'd rather have a retread of KSE-era metalcore than hear another Architects rip off.

Really appreciate this album is exactly what it is! I can't stop listening to it. Holy Coward is amazing. Comparisons to AILD, Unearth, etc., are all warranted and I think this holds it's own just fine. Nothing groundbreaking, but classic metalcore done super well with great production. Started with a 4 rating and had to bump because it's all I'm listening to even though I have other things I could be listening to. Not sure when the dust settles if it'll stay at a 4.5, but for now, it's firmly there.

This is ok. Band is pretty much always solid but not all that interesting. Like it's always well done, but just feels very paint-by-numbers.

see y'all kept saying this sounded like 2006 and I was hoping for Define the Great Line and instead I got every other metalcore album

i appreciate the riffs but the songwriting is painfully predictable and the lyrics are really bad even for a genre known for bad lyrics

Dream Thief kinda rips tho

The Dream Thief intro is epic. Wish I would've added something about it in the review.

Giving this a spin. So far it sounds like cookie cutter metalcore but they picked up the cookie cutter from 2006-2010. Which is weirdly refreshing and this isnt a snoozefest. Also clean vocals on a metalcore record from 2021 that arent cringey/dogshit or over produced as hell hot damn. I like this but know i won't love them, probably have just replaced the Make them suffer metalcore hole for me

Edit: This band will be a comes on shuffle band and me going "Oh this is cool"

Check out their first three albums. Less generic and I think better writing.

Ill give it a think. Overall this is good background core and refreshing in comparison to most modern metalcore bands
