It’s nice to have a review that represents the fans who feel this album delivered the impossible. Colors is a classic and this came as close to matching that quality as could possibly be expected in 2021. Big pos.

I'm not sure yet how this compares to say the great misdirect, but it's **really good** and that's a lot more than bands trying to replicate their magnum opus usually manage.

Honestly I had given up on this band after Automata I.

I truly loved Automata. I think it's some of their most interesting and well constructed songs. It doesn't scratch this bonzo prog techy thing going on with colors and the like, but it scratches a particular itch.

Glad this is the default review over that embarrassingly antagonistic one. Those kinds of reviews always age super poorly.

Thanks for all the pos' guys :D. This ain't the default review though right? I mean for me it isn't showing up like that. Good to have multiple takes of this album around. Still in love with this.

Ants of the sky is about people "flying through [their lives] in one big vacation. Trying to find happiness, perfection, and love" according to Tommy. Bad habits seems to be about Tommy reflecting on past pandering and/or uninspired output in his career ('they have my tongue, let's cut it out' / My words keep losing meaning, maybe don’t take it so serious). And the last line (Sleep on, fly on / In our minds we can fly) is a direct reference.

Just musing on this after seeing you point out the repeated musical bit in the review.

I like to think that the band knows Automata sucked and is genuinely trying to redeem themselves, but maybe that's just me. Either way, I buy that genuine passion went into this music, which I did not for their recent output.

Nice job Scheumke. I'm glad the album has had a highly positive review, it deserves it.
