cause used to man the record company would give you like 100 grand and be like alright buy drugs, buy instruments, make noises, get some hookers, whatever etc. and it would pay the janitor, the sound guy, the fuckin engineer, producer, whatever shit. well now that dont happen. master of puppets only sounds so fuckin good cause there was money and time invested. this aint indie rock

Obviously this was written with Lars and for Lars. However, he sucks live and this album isn't that good to begin with. Isn't his fault, this album is just pretty good, it's about the songs. RtL and AJFA are better, but what does a studio performance say about the musician's skill? Not much imo

Album is nostalgic as hell for me. Kill Em All and Ride that Lightning tie for favorite tho

"exquisity fashion" i presume that's meant to be exquisite fashion
not a bad review though. agree that the first paragraph could be better, i don't think it needs a relation of how the album fits into the greater metallica picture because it's been done many times before. maybe try discussing it relative to the other thrash albums released around the same time period? I think it's easy to say why MoP is great compared to Load or Death Magnetic but for a "classic" album I would say comparing it to the other great thrash bands helps to establish why it is distinct
i've warmed up to lars, he has his own little lars-isms with his weirdly accented fills but he does the job

Lars is like this slow learning little kid. He's a douche and he sucks, but you can't really be mad at him

Lars is proof that you don’t need much musical talent as long as you’ve got enough songwriting skills and business savvy

I love Lars and his simple style. Just because it's simple doesn't mean it's easy. Seen these guys at least 10 times live, and thought he carried his weight each and every time. As Sonic said, I catch myself starting to air drum at certain points, and if I'm doing that, I'm enjoying it.
Team Lars

nah pre-napster you didnt have metal scenesters walking around with cringe anti-lars shirts. like george harrison said, "think for yourself." thats a guy who was lucky enough to die before he had a chance to ruin his rep by telling people not to steal his shit
