Why did I buy Artist and Vheissu before getting this? It's bad enough it took me a couple years to get this (got it last month). Will this ever get old?

I'm downloading this now. I'm expecting pretty big things. Vheissu was most enjoyable.

It's very different than Vheissu but it's equally as good.

This is definitely more hard hitting but Vheissu is a piece of art. The way the album is themed and constructed makes it better imo

All I've heard by them is this and the artist in the ambulance. both good, but i'd probably like vheissu better by the way you described it. I'm not an avid fan but i still cant wait for their the alchemy index.

This album is one of the best I've ever heard, and imo definetly the best in its genre.

I think I might get this album. It's only ten bucks.

I mean, I'd basically be an idiot not to.This Message Edited On 09.29.07

this album is damn good but it could be better if the production was better

I honestly think the production is perfect for the album's sound. They used the higher production to their advantage on The Artist but I think if they would have had that production here the final product would not have quite the same affect.

i've been listening to this loads recently, along with glassjaw's "worship and tribute" (i view IoS as the slightly better of the two), been getting back into the post-hardcore i was listening to circa 2001/2002 a lot again recently.

this album is just straight-up amazing, and i think the production is perfect, strikes just the right balance between rawness and polished sounds. iv always thought that if you listen to a record and it feels like you've just stumbled into a particularly tight band practice, or small gig, then it's spot on, and this has it. and it's got that nice drum sound that a lot of metalcore/posthardcore releases of that era seem to share, the main other example i can think of being "the opposite of december" by poison the well.

hopefully my band are gonna be covering "the red death" soon, should be fun to play!

Best Thrice album to date, and I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I don't they'll be able to release something that I like better than this. They were close with Vehissu though.
