How can you not give this a 5? This is probably my favorite album of all time now. Every single song is incredible, has its moments that rank up there in my favorite moments of music.

Something about it just doesn't give me the replay value that other 5 star albums give me.

Oh come on man, I've listened to it non-stop for about 3 weeks. I can't ever get enough.

Great review of a truly brilliant album. I think it is just a matter of personal taste as to whether you credit this with a 4.5 or a 5...

Personally I believe it is a classic.

I used to be really into Opeth but I hardly listen to them now... this is my second favourite album of thiers (after Morningrise).

People usually exaggerate when they give something such high praise, but this album really is that good. It should have got a 5! Even for The Moor alone, that song is perfect: the riffs, the guitar tones and solos, the vocal arrangements and the way it all fits together... amazing!

I'll have to dig this up and give it a listen again soon...

My brother saw this on my playlist and said that Opeth sounds like 80s metal :angry:.

same dude. I may give this another spin tonight, I gave Blackwater Park and Watershed listens in the past few days so I might as well throw this in there as well, being one of the best albums ever.

Opeth's most under-discussed album ever? Seriously a staff review with only two pages and one post from this year? You guys suck ;_;

I bumped this to a four so I can be in the cool kids Opeth club now.

This album is great, though BWP still trumps it.
