I could see this working very nicely for certain moods, but for now it is a little too blunt/oom-pah/klezmer/and indeed punky. I guess that perhaps goes for my general tastes in jazz. But it certainly is lively and I can surely see the potential here for when I would be in the mood!

Unsurprisingly, My Queen Is Nanny of the Maroons is one of my highs here. Really nice vibe. Calm, sunny, warm, relaxing at a riverside in summer in the shade. Hmmm 🌞

Interesting attaching klezmer to this
Nanny of the Maroons is gorgeous (but also think whole album is gorge, baboom) Record generates it's own momentum, and has picked up the energy at many a twilight bonfire at mine. Having one this weekend, you're all invited!

I really like the punky element of this actually, the faster instrumental parts are the strongest. It’s the more mellow side that doesn’t hit home. I’m not a fan of the vox either.
Harriet / Angela are my faves.

The vox are great, really bring the dancehall/dub energy.
