Small typo : "nearly even song on offer has been throttled down to a mid-tempo, paint by numbers listen. "
but yea this shit sucks, shame.

First, I loved their last three albums, but this is a disappointment in every way. Maybe it will be a grower, but I don't know if I'll give it that chance.

PS: If this has been posted too early, please let me know. Also, I received an advance copy of the album and this review wasn't written after one and a half listens. Thank you--
Unless you're a staff member, you can't post reviews before the release date (unless there is an authorized early stream released to the public or something similar). It doesn't matter how you managed to get the album (otherwise everyone could say they got it from a promo). The basic rule of thumb is midnight Eastern time on the release date -- it doesn't really matter where you live or everyone could just say they live in Australia or whatever.
Official Answer -- Short of an artist-sanctioned early release stream, there is no legit reason for you to post the review early. You run the risk of having it deleted and eventually being banned if you do it too often.

Haven't really been a fan since Early Grave. This certainly doesn't help.

Willie: Alrighty, I understand. I wasn’t trying to break the rules here. Remove the review if you feel it’s necessary. Regardless, it won’t happen again. My bad.

There's no reason to remove it because it will literally be midnight Eastern time in roughly 50 minutes. Deleting it now seems a little excessive. I was just letting you know.

Every song on the album fits right into octane. Even the heaviest song "Discourse is Dead". Don't go off on me about evolution bc it absolutely isn't. They just trend hopped from djenty metalcore (which they definitely needed to evolve from by this point) to butt rock. I probably would have liked this if I was in middle school or named Kyle.

These guys sold out HARD. This is so mind numbingly boring, minus Discourse Is Dead and Impermanence. I'm almost exhausted of those two songs already too.
Will probably never listen to this again

Agreed, Jay. Making matters worse, guess who pre-ordered back in like November? This guy...

That's tragic Teal, but hey on the bright side maybe you helped fund a new Sylosis album haha.
That's another thing, what an absolute waste of an incredible guitar player. Josh Middleton deserved better than this, smh...

I haven’t listen to the whole thing yet but I’m not feeling this. I love the architects but this is not for me. I don’t blame them for wanting to try something different but I can only hope they go back to something closer to there sound for the next record. It’s just bloody awful.
