Spinning this for the first time right now. I’ve listened to the second track at least 20 times by now and the second half of it still absolutely crushes me emotionally

it's such an improvement over the last one, and I even liked that one despite it feeling kind of half baked

I think the last record RIPS other than the closer which unfortunately is like... 3/5 of the run time if not more

I've heard bits of this and didn't like it much. Great review nonetheless Doc!

This is pretty much the best they've sounded since god songs

It absolutely is. The lyrics are a little much sometimes but I get he was probably trying to highlight sex addiction and problems with lust by just writing gross lyrics. Just don’t know how stoked I am to blare things like “masturbate the pain away” and “lies, lust, shit fucks” out of my car lmao

this is so polarizing lol im pretty sure i don’t like the vocalist’s tone but some of these parts are stupid good. the long instrumental section of the second song was v cool and surprising

yea the singles on this were my least favourite songs off this, i really liked everything else, but concrete god and new measures of failure are great, just they don't go past great imo, this slaps anyway, feels like a mix of the last two albums, great stuff
