Thought this release might be too far in the past for a feature, especially considering the quality that's been rotating in those squares lately. Lot's of good music, lots of great reviews.

Yep, there has been a good rotation, I hope it stays that way throughout the year.

I recognized the cover as one of Lewandowski's

Given how I've felt about this band beforehand, I'm gonna assume they manage to crank out 3 or so good tracks then completely mess things up by becoming completely average again. The cycle repeats.

Using Lewandowski for your extreme metal album art is becoming a bit trite at this point lol.
Not bad. It loses its way a couple times and doesn't always capture my attention, but I like the atmosphere and groove here, when it does shine. Might prefer their last one more.

Though the album could've trimmed 2 songs, most of these songs slap.
Seems like HLB have found the right amount of atmosphere to stay interesting. Guitar work on here is exceptional. Vocals are good, but some more variety is what is holding this album back a little.

Hard disagree on dehumanize, even if it is traditional. Loved that track.
Whole album is great and much more consistent than the last one.
“Välde is comparatively cohesive and the band’s energy stays consistent from the opener...”
Should this be contrastingly instead of comparatively? Really asking. It read oddly to me at first cause I was thinking you were saying they were similar
