Yeah after whatchamacallit (despite it being p solid) they sounded like a carnival knock off of Candy Claws if anything. King Gizz and these guys def diff categories of psych with Gizz being a lot more comfortable / better at diving into crazy genres

Definitely get the comparisons with Gizzard, but yeah, these guys are far more straightforward and pop oriented I think. Less off the wall experimentation, more straight up bops.

I was actually thinking about this on my way to work this morning. I don't know if "better" is the word I would use, but I certainly feel like Gizz has been lacking energy for me with their most recent albums, while this feels hungry.
