There's some decent melodies and progressions here, but I thought it was a little too streamlined.
It very often goes: da da da-da-da-da-da da da in its guitar licks and run offs. But some of the compositions and keys are really neat.

I've seen this album getting some traction around the music sphere recently and I'm not quite sure why, as much as I think it's good, I don't think it's really anything special within the realm of this type of genre, is pretty bizarre to me

Check Syncatto, Brandon Hart, Filippo Rosati. 3 instrumental prog albums that came out this year that I think deserve more love. As for this For Giants record, the comment I posted above is still how I feel about it more or less.
