Of course it's the internet so stupidity is to be expected but...

chad kroeger is the best songwriter of the past 20 years, and Leonard Cohen died because he couldn't exist in a world where he couldn't even come close to Chad Kroeger's legendary and verbose songwriting prowess, especially with his knack for articulating feelings in ways that nobody ever has before. every songwriter nowadays is just copying the blueprint our king of nickels has laid out for us.

Well, your average person probably doesn't really listen to song lyrics to decipher meaning but to me the song was pretty obviously making fun of the rockstar excess lifestyle
