Yeah. Ballbreaker rocks hard. Can’t wait to listen to this. I can already tell it blows Rock or Bust away. I know what I’m getting with AC/DC and by knowing that, I find differences in all of their material. There are already some little differences or throwbacks to “fly on the wall” era I’ve heard with “Realize”. Good review

This album has a bit of a different vibe than RoB, BI, SUL, and B.....I love it!

Through The Mists Of Time and Realize are definitely my top 2 songs after one spin.

Go to Target to get the vinyl and tee shirt bundle. Just FYI. Exclusive to Target only. “Realize” rocks and reminds me of late 80s AC/DC riffs with wayyyyy better production.

Appreciate it, shoedog.

Agreed Titan, Through The Mists Of Time is also one of my favorites on here.

“Realize” giving me Blow Up Your Video vibe with little Razors Edge sheen on it. Love the chiming chords during chorus. Sometimes AC/DC does better with less, just let the chords ring in that chorus and the key of the bass changes. Great chorus.

Flick of the Switch is one of their best and own of the most underrated gritty, dirty hard rock albums.

@Pika if you didn't like H2H, chances are you won't like any of their other stuff - with the possible exception of their first two international albums - High Voltage and Dirty Deeds - which both have a bluesier sound. So maybe check those out.

@manosg best track off of IYWB is Rosie. In my opinion, THE definitive version of that song. The Jack is a close second though, yeah.

This sounds exactly like AC/DC, but in a very good way. Nice return to form.

To be fair, I think BUYV, FOTW and Ballbreaker are interchangeable in those three spots. Fly is half good, half filler, BUYV has one really good song (That's The Way I Wanna Rock'n'Roll) and a few songs I personally like but are objectively just average (Meanstreak, Go Zone) alongside some painfully subpar tracks, and Ballbreaker has the best standouts of the three (Hard as a Rock / Hail Caesar / Boogie Man / Whiskey On The Rocks), but also the worst filler tracks.

Ended up swapping BYUV and BB around. Fly is still my favourite one of the three, if only as a guilty pleasure. Certainly the one where I revisit the most songs on a regular basis.

"Ballbreaker has the best standouts of the three (Hard as a Rock / Hail Caesar / Boogie Man / Whiskey On The Rocks)"

You don't think The Furor is an album highlight? It's my favorite there. Honey Roll is also cool.

Let There Be Rock is definitely my favorite AC/DC, having the t/t / Rosie / Overdose / Crabsody in the same record makes it unbeatable I'd say. Bad Boy Boogie also has stupidly catchy riffs and the attack of the first solo is just explosive

@Sab I debated including The Furor in the standouts, to be honest. It's kind of the 'fifth Beatle' there.

Clearest standouts are the openers to each side, though. Immense songs in an otherwise so-so album.

Also can I say, guys, so good to be having an earnest fan discussion about AC/DC without people negging all over the thread.
