Proper for me means that this is basically like the stuff they released the last 15(?) years, in good quality. However, those records mostly had longer songs, which I like a bit more. So this is by no means a return to form, they're just doing what they are good at. Good consistent proggy bm. Like how this is a bit more synthy and proggy in places, that's cool

"definitely could do with checking a few more then"
Oh and I will, let me check what's up next year.

Just read, super cool rev, makes it really fun and leaves us wanting to check this out.

Appreciate it my man, I really wasn't sure to write smth about it cause I am not that familiar with their stuff but 100 votes and no review was not cool.

I'm not big on them either so I can relate to that. I listened to Axioma after and its a 4.5 :D

I didn't enjoy this one much compared to their other releases. Other than Homebound, I didn't find it particularly memorable.

If I had to pick their weakest two albums, it would definitely be E and Vertebrae.

Did not feel E very much either.
|

I thought E was decent, even if I heard it like once, but I feel this one is better.

E felt like they were undecided how to evolve the sound they've been doing since below the lights

But if you haven't heard most of their albums from that era, I can definitely see why you'd disagree
|
| |
Yeah pika like I said my knowledge of the band is pretty shallow

And tx for the feature!

you're welcome

I want to know why these guys insisted on keeping the growls when they've abandoned any feeling of heaviness completely by this point. This sounds like it wants to be a prog rock album, the growls are silly.
I've heard about half of Enslaved's discog and this is definitely their worst offering yet.

Damn Demon, not too fan of Progslaved huh
