I don't remember ever hearing the bass stand out on previous stuff. Will have to listen a little more closely next time

Can't seem to get enough of this. I have had it playing in my car ever since I got it last Friday

That's sick dude, it's a great record

Always Have and Held By Hope have become the standout tracks for me. The solo into the breakdown in Always Have is just awesome.

Mmhmm, that solo is excellent and it transitions into that bridge/breakdown so well

My standouts currently are Keep it Secret, Under It (my goodness, the bridge area at

1 59 - 2 15 when the lead guitar subtly comes in is almost euphoric), and still 2008 (that friggin chorus is infectious)

Really tho, Keep it Secret to 2008 is just a huge chunk full of greatness and repeatable tracks

Given this some time to sink in and I think I'm siding with Slexy here. Instrumentally this rocks but vocally and melodically, it is a little eh at points.

I’ve got it at a 4 now but i can see this jumping up to a 4.5. The guitar work is SICK. This is shockingly great for being so late in their career.

I have no idea if you will like this but I think it's fantastic!

I dunno your thoughts on pop/punk but the lead guitarist and bassist are both crazy good on here so you may appreciate it at least for that if you aren't necessarily into the music

On the first song and I'm definitely digging this. I think someone may have recced the band to to me when I was asking for proggy punk recs in the vein of Propagandi and Strung Out but I never got around to it.

Edit: Lol! It was you who recced it Ecnalzen. Solid rec my dude! :]

ha, yeah

I have found a fair amount of stuff that I really like just from seeing an interesting album cover and looking into the album/artist to hear what they sound like

Sounds like these guys have been listening to Strung Out for the last 15 years and decided to come back and put out a stellar late career album. I couldn't remember much of this band and impression after the first minute was probably a whiny pop punk album which I would not enjoy but I stuck on really enjoyed the whole thing. One of the most surprising releases of the year for sure.

Are they still a "Christian" band? Not getting hints of any of that here. Never listened to these guys outside the song 'Angel' and I'm skeptical of anything labeled Christian.

Album is surprisingly good tho.
