I like this quite a bit now after four goes and I definitely agree the second track is best.
The 'Skeleton Tree' knock off 'I am IN Berlin' tune is a bit distracting but still ok.
Some of the later songs even had a bit of a Nine Inch Nails vibe with the keys

Yeah the keys are very Reznor-esque, good catch

Pretty sure the “female” voice in I Need You is just him talking higher pitched. Not sure if it’s weird and I like it or if it’s just weird lol

It's probably Emma Ruth Rundle (his wife btw)

Oh wow seriously? That’s awesome. All these people are so connected. Alexis, lingua ignota, Chelsea Wolfe, jaye and Emma, Jesse Draxler. They must all be part of some club where everything is black and white and you have to cover your face with your hand

"They must all be part of some club"
Sargent House, their record label ;)

Also Evan and most if not all the musicians of Jaye Jayle are the touring band for Emma. They also played in her last album.

Folks learning more from Dewi than from my review. I'm glad, because I didn't know all of this either.

Taking it one step further....Jaye and Emma did an EP together (more of a split, 3 songs each) and it’s so good. His tracks are pretty bluesy/country, so maybe that’s why he had been classified as such. Very different from his other stuff but really great.

Giving this another shot, holds up. I Need You is a tease at what NIN might have been like if Trent Reznor wasn't an insufferable vocalyricist
