I honestly think people who love this album just rate it cuz it's the last. Truthfully, it might (I'd say is) their worst record. And the fact that the worst is this is the real impressive feat!

Nah, love the shit outta this one. The balance of chaos and melody is like if they’d nailed what they were going for on Option Paralysis and more organically incorporated some of the electronic elements on Ire Works. One hell of a victory lap.

Yeah, no shame in loving this. The band has such a crazy discog that it's hard to be too objective with it, though I think we can all agree that the band is great. Ire Works is like my least fav and it was my first Dillinger record. Milk Lizard was my first song.

Same. Ire Works is probably lower half discog for me, but mad respect for its chutzpah, and always fucking interesting. OP’s the only one I don’t come back to all that often and only because once the Dillinger mood strikes there’s usually a different one for the itch. Pretty impeccable discog

I never realized that Dillinger wrote Unretrofied... Heard it on Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 as a kid and never put two and two together until recently lol. Kickass song.

I'd love to hear an entire album sounding like those excellent two last tracks, t/t especially.

Ire Works a bizarre one indeed. I feel like you could swap the reception for Ire Works for this and this for Ire Works and it'd make more sense to me.
Also, the production on Dissociation is far too chunky...mainly the drums and the snare that it fucking wrecks it for me. Far cry from the production and mixing of One of Us is the Killer which is next to Ire Works for their best sounding records.
