As for the album itself, found it super spastic and less brutal/heavy than previous releases which didn’t sit too well with me. Gotta spin it some more, but so far it’s my least favourite of theirs.

Yeah I don't agree that it's more "conventional" than Disposal/Dharmata just because the BDM and prog elements aren't presented separately. It might be their most technically adventurous album yet.

Thanks for all those Lichtbringer, I think I've already admitted I'm not at the top of my game with this one. There's a few things going on 'off-sput' that's distracting and blocking me. Idk why I thought Defeated Sanity were a melodeath band for so long.
This is like, brutal tech slam imo.
Also I like how over the top and spastic this is but I also feel like it makes it feel a little incoherent? Like there's not a lot to actually latch onto if that makes sense but idk I'm only on my first listen so I should definitely give it more of a chance.
