loved this and their 2018 EP so much that I went and checked their promos/singles. i had no idea that 3 of the 8 songs on this aren't actually new.

I could definitely see myself killing someone in a pit to this. Good shit.

Also imagine complaining about production on a debut hardcore record or on hardcore in general.

Based on one cursory listen, I liked what I’ve heard, crushing groove, i.e. “Self-Inflicted Mental Terror”.

How does it being hardcore mean you shouldnt complain about the production? If it was too squeaky clean for example, i would have a problem with it.

this band just sounds dirty, can't really clean up these guys' sound through any recording. i think the production on this is ace.

really like how the drums sound on this record. love that bouncy asf snare drum.

My point was that hardcore is a genre that has less than stellar production for the most part even on some its most classic records and this a band’s debut record so it’s like a “what do you expect?” sort of thing. Cuz someone said “production is hilarious.”

If anything the muddy, rough production helps this album’s sound.

Yeah but he didnt say exactly why he thought it was hilarious, but i getcha. Dirty production is the only production for hardcore. Unless youre all melodic and shit like Departures, you can get away with it then.
