I imagine Colton's point of reference is sitting around a fire at "Camp Special Needs" dribbling porridge into his lap.

In that case, prob not worth checking any longer for you. Give 'I Know Alone' a listen, though.

Album feels really inconsistent so far. Liking the singles, but it's losing it's steam during the second half for me. Definitely has some cool hooks here and there.

"the tone of this review comes off as polite, but kinda struggling to hone in on what is really special about this, which makes me think it's nothing"

damn. jots killing it these days

this is the kind of "3.5 indie" that crowds the weekly releases page. nothing to get offended or excited about

there are some fun things happening here but most of this is pretty forgettable. I actually like the closer and Man from the Magazine. The screamy effect in All That Ever Mattered feels like a cheese grater on my eardrums though...

Thanks ty! Glad you enjoyed it, and yeah this is not revolutionary but if you're into this kind of music it's a must-hear

Shit like I Know Alone and 3 AM is dec it's a shame that these girls have no fucking clue how to stick to one coherent style

I think the variety on this plays a lot more cohesive than one would expect but that's just me

i dunno man the transitions back and forth between like soul/r&b, electropop, and fucking country twang is so jarring to me

it sounds as if they can't diplomatically come to an agreement on whether they want to appeal to 40 year old women from the rockies with mud caked blundstones, 30 year old portland hipsters with tiger-shit infused coffee addictions, or twenty something starbucks baristas on a vodka soda diet
