Absolutely! I've got a small page on IG (@themeatypreachers if you wanna follow) with a couple of friends on which we curate/promote music and want to turn it into an independent record label in the future. We posted this record the other day and they were super appreciative.

Kinda reminds me of a cross between a) VOLA - Applause of a Distant Crowd and b) Elephant Tree - Habits.

This really nails it for me on a number of levels. Firstly, the shoegaze elements bring a depth of texture. But when it comes to heavy music, I also really value rhythmic complexity. I was thinking how this album also reminds me of Lantlos - Melting Sun, particularly in the vocal department. I like that album but find that the simplistic rhythm section puts a cap on how I can gush about it. This album, by contrast, keeps me on my toes, rhythmically. That's partly due to a djent element here but the accompanying guitar tone is more rooted in shoegaze fuzz than in... whatever obnoxious tone djent is typically associated with. So yes, the rhythms are choppy. Yet unlike Car Bomb, the songs retain a sense of cohesion, and the rhythms have a sense of feel and groove rather than mathematically generated randomness. To top it off, the vocals bring a melodic release that makes the abrasive nature of the music less fatiguing. The vocals are also perfectly placed in the mix and avoid being too washed out - something I can struggle with in some shoegaze. Great stuff.
