Ratings seem allover the place, still, and I wonder if it's the first track to blame.

Listening now, definite 90s vibes.

The reviews I read were all over the place with the ratings as well. Moby usually receives bipolar reactions lol

Yeah he does. I think I would even agree. He used to be one of my biggest heroes for the bigger part of my teens (13-20) and even then I didn't like a couple of his albums.
Loving the new one so far! I'm a sucker for that 90s sound, and it's nicely diverse.

The most enjoyment I’ve managed to extract from a Moby release was ‘this is vaguely appealing’... from what I can gather he just might not quite fall in my overly sensitive wheelhouse. Perhaps I’m due a revisit.

Hmm yeah, I think he can easily be classified as cheesy by many. You could try Destroyed Demon, it has some absolutely cool tracks. I guess you heard Play or 18 maybe? Or a newer/older one?

Heard Play, 18 and Everything is Wrong yeah.
Play was decent enough if memory serves, gave it a 3/5.

Play is his most popular and in this case I'd say it's justified. Lovely album. Destroyed has a bit more of an edge I think, but it's very much a Moby album still.

Everything Is Wrong, Play, Hotel, Wait For Me, Destroyed, These Systems Are Failing, Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt + this new one are probably his tightest records for me. They also offer a nice overview of his discography. Hotel was bashed, but I find it a beautiful LP.

I bashed the hell out of Hotel and Last Night when they first came out and haven't listened to them since. I should really change that because everything else he's done has been solid imo. I must have been in a bad mood that day or something

Love Hotel too, it's very much on the radio friendly poppy side of things though, so I can see why it puts done people off. Really dig that one.
Everything Is Wrong is amazing yeah.

Last Night was fun, don't know why people dismiss that record.

I've never really liked it. It's been ages since I last heard it, so perhaps I should change that.
