Vocals are turning me off pretty hard. Also think their explanation is weak af.

Where the fuck did this come from?

Given the talent in this band I'm sure this will contain some fantastic music. I just don't care to check it out after these clowns basically stole everyone's money and ran. They can go sit on the pointy end of a pineapple.

Fantastic trolling from the dude that got them out of hiding though.

there's some really really good stuff on this, production aside

vocals were a mixed bag at first but eventually grew on me. the music is pretty great throughout. this is the album we all wish the contortionist would make.

I hate that there’s some great music on this. Wish we got a finished product four years ago.

I dont think its fair to judge music by musician. Like, I know you guys lost money (hell, if I weren't a poor teenager when they did the campaign I'd give them 25 bucks myself, maybe even more) but giving 1.0 for the sake of "musicians are cunts" is like giving 5 to the most shitty song ever because creator was a mentally and physically disabled vietnam war veteran.

Seperate the music from creators. While we all know how shitty the story is and nothing can make it better in our eyes, the music itself is really solid. If this came out as planned it'd be easy 4.0 or even 4.5. Who knows, it might have even reached classic status. Nontheless we have general idea of what we would have gotten and even just this idea is really good so it's unfair giving it 1, no matter the circumstances

every time I read this argument I think of lostprophets. I liked the music but I just can't listen to them anymore. but you seem to be only talking about rating music which is kinda whatever, people can rate however they want imo

But on the other hand these guys didn't rape anyone, let alone babies. And from the sound of it they didn't maliciously dupe people with the intention of ripping them off to the tune of $15,000 (or whatever they originally asked for) while sacrificing their own careers and reputations. People have a right to be angry, but investment is inherently a risky business.

the whole separate the art from the artist argument is the same though. lostprophets guy is my line personally. people on this site have shown that a band duping their fans is their line and won't listen to this because of it.

Been listening since yesterday morning when I found that AI-mastered rip. Not gonna lie. I had zero expectations for this thing and I am enjoying the hell out of it. Facade is my fav I think so far. It's so dynamic and doesn't wear out its welcome!

Yeah, that's their own choice and I don't personally care. I just think that holding onto the narrative that the band intentionally ripped them off, rather than just accepting that the band just made some mistakes and have been affected much worse by this debacle than any of their backers, is pretty silly at this point.

Lol it sure seems like it goddammit.

Also the band's wiki page doesn't list guitarist Chris Dower as a member anymore. Pretty much confirms that he's the one who went off the deep end with the stems. I kind of feel bad for the vocalist. I think he serves as a lightning rod for a lot of the flak the band receives just because he just looks a bit weasel-y.

I will rate this again but never sponsor these guys in any way unless they come with a better conclusion of this whole story. The 1.0 doesn't make sense, it was just to make a statement. Agree that you should seperate the art from the artist, in some regard. When a record is very cheesy and bad, but the lyrics capture the artist's emotion at the time I would rate it higher than I would for a record that just has poorly written lyrics

The band, and sadly possibly even the musicians themselves, are finished anyway, so supporting them in the future is a moot point.

What's funny is completely aside from the drama, this is pretty whatever to me.

"I contributed $25."

Bro you honestly need to chill. You probably waste that much money on food you throw out every other month.

"To be honest I don’t care how good it is at this point... cause I just don’t care about Corelia anymore. I’m less mad these days than just shaking my head that they thought this was an acceptable thing to put out. I’ve gotten a lot of drama and entertainment out of $25 so I guess it wasn’t all a waste."

Sounds like you do care though.
