I agree that ALLB is better than dgd but i dont think any of their solo stuff is good. I means kurt's is definitly the strongest but thats not saying much. He just writes underwhelming indie rock

Everything is Beautiful and his self-titled EP are anything but underwhelming imo. Kurt always explores different sounds on his projects without sacrificing songwriting quality. I think that his solo work is some of his best work, but to each their own

I'm a big Kurt fan but I actually don't enjoy his solo stuff so much, also Royal Coda has been underwhelming to me.

It's my headcanon that they threw him out of Gavin because he used to suck live due to smoking, he's amazing live nowadays (which solves his old flaw) but since Eternity Forever I haven't loved anything he's been in.

Ya, I couldn't agree more about Royal Coda, and even Nova Charisma, and Stolas before they broke up. A lot of this Psychadelic rock influence that either never fully gets explored or doesn't sound good. Sianvar's last record was the closest to nailing it but I still find that record to be slightly underwhelming. I think Kurt is a great writer, but he can never stay focused enough on one thing to really nail anything. The closest he came on any of his stuff past ALLB was the eternity forever EP he did with the alternative RnB influence.

Ya I have the one with Strawberry Girls (another underwhelming band in my opinion). The song is so awkward to me Kurt sounds horrific over their overproduced guitar wankery. The instrumental sounds so washed out for how dubbed Kurt's voice it. Plus the song doesn't go anywhere sonically the whole time.
