I can't believe his vocals held up so well. When I saw them live I expected them to be nothing like on the album but it was dead on. With the style he does that was a definite surprise. I didn't realize it had been that long since the last album either. That's crazy! Glad to see them getting some love though.

It seems that the break these guys took helped him preserve his voice haha. Now let's hope it doesn't take them too long to release another album.

Like others I felt wanting a bit more from this record, in fact I wanted more proggy songs like The Frost Monstreme and Stormbringer. But its good to have these guys back and carry the banner of epic heavy metal especially given the tragic demise of Mark Shelton and Manilla Road. And Tim Baker's vocals...goddamn.

I think this is one of the rare cases where almost everyone on here agrees on wanting more songs like The Frost Monstreme and Stormbringer. Hopefully, they deliver on the next one.

It would be really nice if they manage to put out something else in the future, yeah. Is it just me or did Baker sound a little better on the live album than this one?

Yeah man, I had that video on a Kerrang VHS when I was a kid, along with Maiden, W.A.S.P, Motorhead and a lot more. Good times.

After like 10 spins, I strongly share the notion of wanting some more of it. But just now I kinda realize what this 'more' is: the songs on here are too dense and compact, making them sounding rusheda bit. No slow build ups here like in many of the classics and in witch's game... Apart from that most riffs, melodies and parts are damn tasty on here. So it sits around a 3.7 for me...

A bit late to the party, but this is really good.

I sensed some nice 'Emperor of Sand' vibes from the first and second song, or is it just me?

Well I guess the album gets a 3.5 and its just as good as it gets, but a very strong one. Fave track is prob Nightmare.

@garas

about our shoutbox convo, the track The Frost Monstreme or even Nightmare are very Ghostlike riffing.
