That's exactly my issue with this as album. I can't describe what's happening with the music at all as I was too distracted with the terrible lyrics.

lyrics are usually pretty low on my list of necessities for music. that's why i like emmure so much. unless it's right in my face, pounding me with how much it doesn't make sense, i can usually forgive them.

I actually think that's a pretty good lyric. Pharmaceutical drugs (pills) are all like 'yh take me bro it's all good I'll make you not feel your pain' and then all of a sudden you can't feel anything at all and when you try to slow down on your pill taking you just feel extremely awful as everything just comes back 10 time stronger than before.

same pink song.
i think she's actually feeling ill because she's overdosing, but i think it's a metaphor. so somehow she's overdosing on this dude, but she's blaming it on him rather than trying to take it slow.
another problem with pink lyrics is trying to actually understand the story
this album, perfectionism, isn't much better, but the lyrics are much easier to tune out
