This guy gets it, man.



These guys played in a shitshow of a venue in my home city, and after a striking rendition of Dream House to close the set they walked off stage...onto the street because there's no green room. I wandered out after them, said a passing thanks, which seemed to only confuse them as they were hands-on-knees just fucking sweating out all of that "it's like a dream" energy. I continued on my merry way to the thinly-veiled brothel next door, intending to leave them in hard-earned peace, but I couldn't help sneaking one last gaze over my shoulder before I was enveloped in neon light. The tattooed, flannel-wearing crowd had exited the venue and closed in around the band in an uncomfortably tight circle, and I heard at least three people say the word "epic."



I haven't seen them since. I hope they're okay.
