Closing track as a single

Album is huge though. Need another few listens before a proper rating.

i have become so sensitive to digital clipping, so maybe i'm not the best person to judge, but this shit is so clipped.

I'm so annoyed at how many times they do that stopping the track and continuing it again. I guess that's called digital clipping? It's the stupidest thing ever! Band also keeps trying to switch time signature all the time with no real substance so it sounds horribly put together and disjointed.

I just mean the songs sound like they're distorted due to poor mastering

I'm surprised to find that apart from the bleeps and bloops I don't hate this.

Can’t say I’m surprised given how well Forever was received.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills by not getting the hype.

Hardly surprising, even fucking Slipknot had like a 98 or something average when their new one dropped.

I just don't get the hype for these guys. There's been some really solid metalcore/nu-metalcore, or even really just fresh heavy shit over the last two years, but somehow Code Orange manages to maintain the limelight. They're certainly talented, but they're completely incapable of making a coherent album or reigning in their experimentation and production to even be moderately consistent.

Review is solid, minus the last paragraph.

goddammit, guys! On the one hand people are talking about NIN influence here which totally intrigues me and on the other hand people are saying how shitty this album is (and tbh: I did not really like the singles). So...do I give this a shot or not?

The NIN influence is pretty obvious to Code Orange career (this album is no exception). That does not mean you should like it or not, or its good/ better (def not better).
