Not quite as overwhelming as "The Ultra-Violence" in my opinion, but this album still delivers the goods in the best way possible. "Road Mutants" is thrash-tastic.

Agreed this fucking rules, dunno why it's considered a weak link in their discog by some people. Death Angel's first 3 albums make up one of the best 3 album runs in thrash.

@Fear: It would probably be well worth going. Even this band's newer material is pretty good compared to most old school thrash band's newer releases. Their first 3 albums are where it's at though.

The raw aggression of 3rd Floor, the prog moments in Confused and Shores of Sin, the vocals in general... I mean that 3.6 avg is pretty criminal to me. Really looking forward to the 2016 album, not only because they are one of my most favorite bands but also because imo their only weak album is 2010's Relentless Retribution, and 2013's The Dream Calls for Blood is their best since Act III, with Territorial Instinct being one of their very best cuts. Trustin'.

Album's inconsistent but no one can deny it's pretty unique

From bouncy stuff (Bored) to punkish stuff (Why You Do This) to more straightforward thrash (Mind Rape) to long songs with different sections (Confused) this doesn't thrash as well as The Ultra-Vioelnce or not-thrash as well as Act III but damn does it have its moments
