Just a very boring album for me. A few good tracks. I actually hate all these guest vocalists, doesn’t even seem like The National half the time. Matt is awesome — why cut his role down to a supporting player? I really don’t get it. If Matt had sung everything, would probably be a 3.5.

Quite simply, the most beautiful and arresting music I’ve ever heard.
