shin guard had quickly became one of my new favorite bands, and I'm pretty bummed they shifted into this.
the new song is kinda fun, but doesn't stand out at all. felt like shin guard was really bringing a diverse interesting sound to the table

At least For Your Health stayed rad

why would you ditch all that to be a 00's deathcore band

Their statement about the change was hilarious, some shit about them being heavily influenced by Suicide Silence and if you don't like the sound then that's too bad (paraphrasing) lmao

at least the setlist will be diverse i guess

thats true
heard they were going to play a show as Shin Guard with Alex returning for vocal duties, here's to hoping they actually reunite and Hazing Over will remain just a bad memory

Idk I'm friends with Alex on FB and she literally never talks about SG/HO anymore

shit that sucks, she's what made the band truly special imo, would love to see her front another project
so did that show ever happen then?

I don’t know anything about the band members themselves but after watching some videos of them live I got that feeling too. She joined up after Cerebral right?
I liked that record but god damn this one is something else.

Idk i follow Alex on Instagram and she seemed really stoked to play that show with Alesana. Who knows if they will actually do anything else.
I know I was lucky enough to see them in early 2020 before the pandemic hit and they were phenomenal they even played the closer off this with Alex handling the lead vocals and it was fucking amazing.
They hyped up the potential LP3 hard too before they scraped it, even released a sick coaltar of the deepers cover during a livestream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGAY4qWjeF4

"She joined up after Cerebral right?"

their split with For Your Health also fucking rips, man hardcore was on a sick stride these last couple of years and these dudes just decide to start a deathcore revival lmao

'Sure' into 'Spears' is very impressive, they packed more interesting ideas into that 5 minutes than most bands do in an entire album. Yet it somehow doesn't sound like a mess. Inspired.

I dunno what it is about this album.
I dig a lot of screamo but this shit is incredible. Nothing else can scratch the itch atm
