thank you blush i appreciate it!! yeah, i mean i told myself this was gonna be my last peep-related efforts for a while, because i put about three months into this and came out with a write-up that wound up coming off more as a character-analysis with a soundtrack, more so than a strictly musically based review (not to say that the music isn’t expressive because it definitely is). but idk, i didn't intend to come off as glorifying or anything, rather i just exaggerated my writing at some at a few too many points in retrospect, mostly to make points noting the difference between Lil Peep the artist and Lil Peep the human,,, my fascination and curiosity definitely coulda been refined. or at least written in a more concise matter, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯
also if nobody snags GAS i'll definitely cover it, even just to get rid of that old review of the live backing tracks from a tour CD lmao that shit gotta GO

late on the response, but i used to think the same until i started spinning it in full, and most of the tracks that i didn't fuck with at first became some of my favorites. although “wanna be” is still a genuinely hard track to get into giving the juxtaposition between peep's slow/drugged out vocals and mysticphonk's oddly erratic production

high fashion was great, might give that a review down the line. but yeah, it's kind of haunting for me to read this review back and talk about what was really speculation at the time, actually manifesting as the genuine truth of what happened, according to court documents between Peep's mother and First Access Entertainment + the tour managers. it's such a horrible situation where the exploitation is so palpable from an inside-looking-out (and vice versa ofc) perspective, that it sincerely makes it hard to watch this all play out as it's kinda transitioned from making sure these people are held accountable to becoming the precedent case for how management with these younger rappers/artists will be conducted. the fallout from this situation as the next trial doesnt seem to be set for a while, but this could be a huge win for wrongful death lawsuits in the case of toxic touring environments n whatnot
