I listened to the Sampler and it's great. Although I like their recent, more melodic material, a big part of the material here takes me back to Beaucoup Fish and Second Toughest. I dig the hypnotic rhythms.

I'm curious to hear the whole project, but it's a lot to take in.

Yeah agreed, it had that Beaucoup vibe and I'm totally ok with that. But there are many chilled out tracks here too, especially those Necks collaborations, they are totally amazing.
It's so much yeah, five hours worth of new material. I need a very long time to digest it all.
Still waiting for my box set to be delivered!

love how classic sounding it is - esp the opener, which has become one of my favourite things to listen to as of late.

i really should seek out the whole 6 disc collection, but this thing here is damn near perfect, i can't imagine they left out better cuts than what we get here, but i'm curious to dig in and see for myself

Some of it is definitely less good but the quality is super high throughout. It's a lot to take in but totally worth it in my opinion.
Make sure to check Tree And Two Chairs, that is one of my faves.

Appleshine is top 5 soty for me. Will rate high on my decade list too. Seriously in contention for favourite Underworld song.

It so is man! It's superb. This project has totally reinvigorated them them. I mean, I loved Barbara, but this is on another level. Their best in years.

yeah tree and two chairs is also amazing, as are some of the appleshine edits and many, many more songs. i haven't committed many names to memory just yet - just spun all the discs late last night and zoned out to it without paying attention to which tracks i was hearing. i gotta say, i think in its entirety this might be my favourite release this year. there are definitely some underwhelming cuts, but the amount of good material to sink my teeth into vastly outweighs the missteps

Feel exactly the same way man. My fave of the year, the quality is so high throughout, with just the occasional misstep. Truly incredible how creative, diverse and exciting the project turned out to be.
The best part is that I feel there's so much left to discover among those 5 hours of material. It truly is a lot to take in. And they've decided to go on with this project for another year, which is cooooool.
