vladislav delay is for sure one of my all time favorites
try Whistleblower, then go Anima

Multila tbch

However all of his stuff is really good though. It also really depends how good your sound system is or your headphones because he does things with sound that are completely unlike anything I've ever heard. If you're a glitch/ambient noob you might have an easier time with Kuopio or Vantaa those are easily his most accessible and way less abstract than whistleblower/four quarters/anima. But if abstract and spacious is what you want then any of Whistleblower, Four Quarters, Entain or Anima should be a good entry.

Ohhhhh since writing this review I've come to realise how amazing Paula and Berlin are. I mean, I loved them already but MAN are they good.

Thanks! And agreed, this is his best from the first three. 2 is only slightly behind this, and 3 is more in 3.0-3.5 territory.
Wald and Steingarten are amazing though, love them a lot!

Perfect Sunday morning first cup of coffee record. Which, coincidentally, it is right now.

Ah that's a pity Demon, it could have been such a perfect morning.

I lack the mental capacity (or imagination) pre-coffee to make correct music-related decisions for accompanying said coffee, which is problematic in such situations. Chicken and egg.

Haha, sounds like an infinite loop that's hard to break out of. Although you might accidentally pick the right one every once in a while, making that experience all the more worthwhile.
I'm enjoying my second cup now and this is still playing. There is still hope.

Portishead, Lamb, BoC or Sigur Ros are bullet-proof go-to artists if my brain can’t conjure up anything more inventive, ha. Bjork/Radiohead also works well.

Nice ones! Ive got some of those too, Portishead for sure, or My Bloody Valentine/Slowdive, some techno or jazz. Or anything by DJ Krush. He's my hero.

Can’t go wrong with a bit of Miles Davis either.
