Epic album from one of the best Thrash bands most people have never heard of. I would put Protector in the “Big 4 Of Teutonic Thrash” rather than Tankard personally. I like “Zombie Attack” and “Chemical Invasion” but those are the best Tankard albums and neither of them can hold a candle to even the worst of the first 4 albums by Protector. “Golem,” “Urm the Mad,” “Shedding Of Skin” and “The Heritage” are incredible German Thrash Metal albums with “The Heritage” being a damn near perfect Death Metal album. Kreator, Protector, Sodom and Destruction are the meanest and baddest German Thrash bands ever! The first 4 albums by these bands are essential Metal recordings.
