Oh nice Shamus. PA represent! Only been to Scranton a handful of times but it's not far off from me at all.
My relationship with the band is mostly all in listening to their music. Never met any of the band members and only ever saw them live once.

ah dammit, guess i'm listening to this again then. awesome review!
my yellowcard story starts somewhere in 2011, tho i also have very clear memories/moments in time attached to each record. i also remember exactly where i was on the release dates of SA, LAS and s/t lol.. goddammit, sitting on my couch with the last moments of fields & fences fading out at 1 am and tearing tf up was a fun experience haha

Yeah Yellowcard in the car has existential meaning for me over years and years lol. I need to go to more shows, what can I say though I love albums.

Saw Ryan on his solo tour with This Wild Life and got to meet him briefly - really nice guy, amazingly humble.

Only heard the Only One by those guys. Have they evolved later on or is this as good as their music gets? It sounds like a standard pop-punk song (though I am not a fan of the genre).

They evolved over time. There are also many of us who would tell you that each album has hits that sound fairly different and, although they remained Yellowcard through and through, this band presented different variations of itself.

For reference, Only One is one of my absolute least favorite YC songs
